Danny Lynn Sprinkle, Rockport resident for 22 years, passed away May 7, 2017. He was born September 23, 1951 in Mineral Wells, Texas.
Friendly with a ready sense of humor, Danny enjoyed corny jokes, celebrations, and holidays. Proud of his 13 nieces and nephews, Dan gave them egg hunts, kept up with birthdays, and helped with observances. He was sorry when they were too old for Halloween, but the porch light was always on for trick or treaters.
His hobby was polishing semi-precious stones which he used in making jewelry. He also collected Harley Davidson models and Bolo ties. He liked meeting people of all ethnic groups and nationalities. Always outgoing he was naturally interested in people.
Music was an important part of his life. Not only could he appreciate folk music and country western, but also opera and classical. He would stay up late listening to such singers as Placido Domingo and Luciano Pavarotti.
A multi-dimensional person, he could surprise a friend with his knowledge of detail about a current interest. He will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his mother, Dorothy Sprinkle of Rockport; two brothers, Randal Sprinkle of Rockport and Andy Sprinkle of Corpus Christi. He is preceded in death by his father, Hobson Doyle Sprinkle.
Visitation will be held from 12:00p.m.-2:00p.m. with funeral service to begin at 2:00p.m. Friday, May 12, 2017 at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home in Rockport. Burial will follow in Rockport Cemetery.
