Dana Reeves

Dana Young Reeves, long-time resident of Rockport, passed away December 18, 2017 at the age of 73 after a long struggle with pancreatic cancer.

A native-Texan, she was born on August 18th, 1944 to Luke and Helen Young of Arlington. She spent the early years of her life around the DFW area before moving to California then Nevada where she lived for 25 years, running her own business and being an avid bowler. Dana's knack for numbers and a desire to help others led her to a second career preparing taxes and inspired the confidence of many who returned to her year after year.

Dana is survived by her husband of 44 years, Harry, James (son) and Lisa Reeves, Kim (daughter) and Randy Droppert, Julie (daughter) and Evan Ramspott, Dennis (grandson), Bobby (brother) and Beverly Young, Rory (nephew) Young, and Ronda (niece) McCullough. She and her husband chose to retire in Rockport for sentimental reasons-it was the city of their honeymoon. Well known for her green thumb, Dana was even better known for her generous heart and ability to share friendship with everyone. She will always be missed.

A Memorial Service will be held 10:00a.m. on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home in Aransas Pass, Texas.
