Dan W. Pugh, 80 passed away January 20, 2021. He was born December 2, 1940 in Harlingen, Texas to Harold Pugh and Nannie Wilson Pugh.
Dan grew up in the Rio Grande Valley of South Texas. He is a graduate of Culver Military Academy, Princeton University, and The University of Texas. He served in the Army as a First Lieutenant.
Dan spent much of his career in Corpus Christi. Later, he spent several years as a city planner for San Angelo and Webster.
Upon his retirement, Dan moved to Rockport where he designed and built his home. Dan was an active member of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church for many years. He served as a Lay Eucharistic Minister, a member of the parish vestry, a participant with Community Table, Castaways, and a variety of other outreach and fellowship ministries.
He is preceded in death by his sister, Chula Bryant; niece, Elizabeth Bryant; nephew, Martin Bryant.
Graveside service will be held at 10:00a.m. Thursday, February 18, 2021 at Lamar Cemetery.
