SSG(R) Daniel D. Garcia passed away January 20, 2018. He was 86 year old. He was born April 07, 1931 in Rockport, Texas, to Chano Garcia and Josephine Solis.

Daniel was a proud member and ordained Deacon of the First Presbyterian Church for 40 years. He was a proud lifetime member of the VFW Post 3904 in Rockport, Texas. He was Korean Era Veteran and a Vietnam War Veteran.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Gloria Garcia, of Rockport, Texas; sons, SGM(R) Ruben R. Garcia of Rockport, Texas, and Joseph D. Garcia of Corpus Christi, Texas; daughter, Judith L. Jordan of Corpus Christi, Texas; brothers, Joe Garcia (Louann) of Fulton, Texas, and Fidel Rey Garcia (Dolly) of Rockport, Texas; grandchildren, NC1; AW/SW Taylor Jordan (Sarah) of Yokosuka, Japan; PFC Shiloh R. Jordan of Rockport, Texas, and Alyssa Garcia, and her mother, Diane Martinez of San Antonio, Texas; great-grandchildren, Sadie, Garrett, and Mallory Jordan of Yokosuka, Japan; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Visitation will be Wednesday, January 24, 2018 from 2:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home in Aransas Pass, Texas. Funeral service will be held Thursday, January 25, 2018 at 2:00 pm at the First Presbyterian Church in Rockport, Texas. Burial will follow at Rockport Cemetery.
