Cheri Sanchez

Cheri Smith Sanchez, 57, a lifelong resident of Rockport, TX was called to her eternal resting place on April 12, 2020. She entered this world on April 25, 1962 in Rockport, born to Patricia Ann Cheaney and Charles Hammond Smith.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Patricia Ann Cheaney; father and mother-in-law, Abraham and Katherine Sanchez; and sister, Heidi Goodwin.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Herbert Sanchez; sons, Paul (Destiny) and Patrick (Nicole); daughter, Leah; father, Charles Smith (Sandra); sisters, Susan Kurtz, Donna Beaty (John), Hayley Carman (Dan); brother Charles Smith Jr. (Nilsa); grandchildren, Anthony aka Bruce Bob, Ronon aka Town Boy, Reese aka Reesey Bear, and Raya aka Tiny; numerous nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; and her Rockport Walmart 440 family.

She loved fishing and crabbing, RFHS Pirates from the band to the kids on the field, Dallas Cowboys, San Antonio Spurs, and gardening.

Cheri loved her family and friends with all her heart. If you knew her, you definitely knew she was Rockport Proud and she likely had a nick-name for you. She leaves us all with memories of joy and laughter. She will be dearly missed.

A Public Viewing will be held at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home-Rockport on Thursday, 16th of April, 2020 from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

A Private Family Funeral Service will be held.
