Charlie became disabled and spent time watching his grandson’s attend sporting events.
The absolute loves of his life were Whataburger, Diet Dr. Pepper, and anything “trains”. Charlie and his dear friend John, loved working with model trains and he turned his home into a huge train layout where he and his very dear, close, friends John and Laura Petri spent many hours building, and running the trains in various scale sizes.
Charlie will be missed by many and will no longer be brought down due to health issues.
A memorial service is being planned and will be announced later. He chose to be cremated and his family will take a summer road trip to spread his ashes at various train trestle bridges he admired.
