Cesario Mata Falcon, 88, entered into eternal rest surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, December 16, 2023. He was born on October 3, 1935, to Jose Fidel Falcon and Maria de la Luz Mata Falcon in Beeville, TX. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Guadalupe M. Falcon, and Estella Falcon Zapata. In the 1970s, Cesario took over his father’s concrete business, Falcon Concrete Construction, which his father had started in the 1920s. Among his many projects, he laid the foundation for the City Hall in Ingleside on the Bay, and many developments in Port Aransas, including the Ferry Maintenance Building. Mr. Falcon was also an accomplished singer and musician, gifted at the guitar and accordion. Cesario was a descendant of the first colonizer of South Texas, Captain Blas Maria de la Garza Falcon, and was a great grandson of Civil War Captain and Texas Ranger, Capt. Cesario de la Garza Falcon. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Marcela “Vicky” Villegas Falcon; son, Cesario Luis Falcon, Jr., and two sons from his first marriage, Rudy, and Anthony Falcon, as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and extended family in Beeville, Skidmore, and Edinburg Texas.
