Sgt. Cesar Felipe Peralta
February 15, 1960 – February 10, 2025
On February 10, 2025, Cesar Felipe Peralta passed away peacefully at home after his long battle with Cancer. Cesar was born February 15,1960 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. In 1975 he and his parents moved to Long Island, New York, where he attended Lawrence High School. He became a US Citizen in 1996, and he was a Proud American. He became a member of the Oregon National Guard. He was deployed to Iraq in 2010 with Charlie Company & 3-116th Cavalry Regiment. He supplied Convoy Security and went on daily missions. He was affectionately called “Sargent P”. For his service in Iraq, he was awarded the Army Commendation Medal for Exceptionally Meritorious Service during Operation New Dawn. He served a total of 17 years between the National Guard, Army Reserves and Active Duty Army. He was Honorably Discharged in 2014. He met his wife, Carol, in 2005 in Parma, Idaho and they married in 2012. They moved to Rockport, Texas where they planned on enjoying the rest of their life together. They loved life and enjoyed the life they created here in Rockport, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ceferino Peralta.
He is survived by his mother, Elsa Franco Peralta, his wife, Carol, his children, Kevin Peralta (Sarah), Tara Peralta (Adam), Michelle Peralta, Brandi Peralta (Maggie), his stepson Joshua Thompson, many Grandchildren, great grandchildren and his dog, Murphy. He is also survived by his many friends he considered his family.
A memorial service will be held March 1, 2025 at 10:00 am at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home in Rockport, Texas. A celebration of life will be held after the service at Rock Bottom in Rockport.
