Carroll Houser Iii

The charming Carroll (Carl) Winston Houser, III received his wings on February 8, 2023, in Rockport, Texas (his happy place) IYKYK Carl is survived by his wife - Norah, his step-son Jack, his son - James (Julia) Garza and 2 grandsons.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Charisse Houser, his mother, Leatrice Houser Dennis and his father, Carroll Winston Houser, Jr.

Carl will be greatly missed by many...  Most especially by his wife and his two closest friends Elio and Scott, who were both were like brothers to him.  Elio (Diana) Chicas worked with Carl for 23 years and quickly became besties. Scott (Sylvia) Munn was Carl’s childhood best friend.  Carlito will be missed by too many l list, but mostly by his buddy Helen and his San Antonio Parrot Head phriends.  Carl loved being a SAPH.  IYKYK

Carl was a squid.  CWH, III proudly served in the US Navy.  The Navy allowed him to continue to travel the world, as he had as an Airforce brat.  He had countless memories and stories of his travels and adventures.  Carlito was the best storyteller! He loved sharing his stories with such enthusiasm and charisma that he captivated his audiences.

Carl was a unicorn. He lived life to the fullest!  The charming Carlito was known for his kind-hearted, light-hearted, patient, fun-loving, generous soul and.. That Smile!  Oh! That smile!!

Captain Carl loved fishing, boating, kayaking, fishing, gambling, playing golf, chess and pool.  And did I mention fishing!?..and how dare I not mention football!? Carlito loved his Cowboys and telling tales of his HS football glory days. Go Wheatley Eagles!

Carl was an entrepreneur. He ran his own flooring company for 33 years.  He was so very proud of the countless floors he installed and the unique showers he designed. It gave him great  joy and he beamed with pride when he shared those photos with loved ones, friends and colleagues. Carl may be in heaven, but his work will live on forever, as will his memory in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
