The matriarch of our family, Carmen Carbajal, 88, of Rockport Tx, passed away June 13,2023. She was born in Floresville Tx, on February 2nd, 1935, to parents Antonio and Tomasita Longoria.
She married Henry Carbajal, December 24th, 1956, and was a homemaker where she raised five children.
Carmen was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church for many years, and had a passion for cooking, gardening and spending time with her family. Carmen was a kind soul and lit up every room with her contagious laugh.
She is preceded in death by her parents Antonio and Tomasita Longoria; her husband Henry Carbajal; brothers, Antonio (Valvina) Longoria, Francisco Longoria, Jose (Beatrice) Longoria, Fidel (Mercedes) Longoria; sisters Celia (Miguel) Cardenas, Adelina (Valentine) Alzaldua.
Left to cherish her memory are children,Richard (Diana) Carbajal of Rockport Tx, David Carbajal of Karnes City Tx, Eloy Carbajal of Rockport Tx, Lisa Carbajal of Rockport, Tx,Robert (Cynthia) Carbajal of Dickinson Tx, and grandson who she raised as one of her own James (Sandi) Carbajal of Clute Tx. 10 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; sisters Maria Tijerina and Esther Espinosa; numerous nieces and nephews.
Our family would like to give a special thanks to caretaker, Garciella Garza.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 22, 2023, at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home in Rockport Tx, from 9:00am-3:00 p.m. as followed: Rosary will begin at 2:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. with a Funeral Service beginning at 3:00 p.m.
