Burg “Wayne” Summers passed away on June 29, 2020. He was 77 years old. Wayne was born on October 5, 1942 in Galvez, Louisiana, to Burg and Theo Summers.

Wayne was a big hunter and hunted all over the country. He owned a large boat & loved salt water fishing off the coast of Texas & Louisiana.  Wayne had show horses & went & won at most or all the shows he attended. He owned several planes from time to time and flew them himself to Texas hunting camps, down to Mexico white wing hunts, over to Costa Rica and small islands off the East Coast.  He was an all around sportsman, enjoying the trips with his sons.
In his later years he spent a good time on the water with his grandsons enjoying their experiences

Wayne is preceded in death by his parents and sister Peggy Castell.

He is survived by his wife of twenty years, Carol Summers; six sons, Greg Summers(Aimee) of Baton Rouge, LA., Kyle Summers(Leslie) of Baton Rouge, LA., Eddie Summers(Stephanie)  of Waller, TX., Mark Bush of Katy, TX., Robbie Bush of Rockport, TX., and James Bush(Angela) of Corpus Christi, TX.; his daughter, Britni Cannizales of Austin, TX.; numerous grandchildren and two great-grandsons; and his brother Claude Summers(Ted) of New Orleans, LA.
