Brian Moody

Brian Ross Moody, age 37, passed away on August 30, 2023 after a long struggle with complications of diabetes. Brian was born in Aransas Pass, Texas on May 6, 1986. He graduated from Rockport Fulton High School. It was evident from Brian’s earliest youth, that he was a gifted biologist. He had an amazing ability to appreciate and understand all creatures great and small, as well as a wide array of plants. He collected and cultivated everything from insects to fish to crustaceans, to spiders to plants, to reptiles effortlessly memorizing their scientific names and carefully observing their life cycles habits, and habitats. He was a walking talking encyclopedia of biological facts and wisdom. Even as his strength ebbed, and his health failed, his passion for biology remained strong. Brian experimented with and nurtured a large collection of plants which flourished under his watchful eye until the very end.

Brian is survived by his parents, Nancy Moody and Craig Moody; his three brothers, Christopher, Daniel, and Ethan; and many uncles, aunts, and cousins.

A celebration of life will be held Sunday,  September 24, 2023 from 1:00p.m. till 4:00p.m. at 495 Chesapeake Eats. 1008 E North St. Rockport Texas, 78382.
