Brian Eugene Burks peacefully passed away November 22, 2023 at home surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on August 1, 1963 and has resided in Rockport, Texas for the last 40 years. Brian owned and operated his family business Burks Mobile Home Service for 35 years. He loved spending and making unforgettable memories with his children, grandchildren and traveling with his wife Margaret of 40 years. He was a great mentor to many and especially loved giving back to his community where he served many years and was the proud Chief of Fulton Fire Department for eight years. Brian loved and always looked forward to a special time of year hosting the Fulton Oysterfest. He had special gift that could light up crowd with his smile, laughter, and numerous jokes that left a lasting memory on many near and far. He was preceded in death by his Father Edward Burks, and siblings Leroy Burks, Kelvin Burks.
Brian is survived by his Mother Marjorie Price; Brother Brad Saathoff; and wife of 40 years, Margaret Burks; Daughter, Tricia McLeod, Sons, Aron Burks; Brandon Morrow; Jeriel Gray; Granddaughters, Kayden McLeod; Kylee Morrow; Katherine Kenney; Grandsons, Connor McLeod; Carson McLeod and many more family and friends.
Thank you all for the kind words, condolences, and prayers for our family during this difficult time. I want to express my gratitude to the Fulton Fire Department for everything they have done and continue to do for us. We welcome you all to a celebration of life for Brian at the Fulton Oysterfest Grounds, Sunday December 3rd at 2:00pm. Please join us, come as you are, and thank you from the bottom of my heart.
