Brandy Ann Escue

October 8, 1976 — June 26, 2024

Saint Albans

Brandy Ann Escue, 47, of Saint Albans, West Virginia, left this world, far too soon, on June 26, 2024, in Rockport, Texas. Born in El Paso, Texas, on October 8, 1976, Brandy was a strong and comforting force in an ever-changing world.

She grew up in El Paso, graduating from Coronado High School and later obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree from West Virginia State University. She was married to Jeffrey Escue, her best friend, soulmate, and biggest supporter, on October 31, 2001. With him, she raised their three children, Kylee Martinez, Emily Escue, and Lincoln Escue, whom she was insurmountably proud of and loved to the moon and back. Her grandchildren, Carson, Adelyn, Nolan, and Oliver, are also left to mourn the loss of their irreplaceable “Mimi,” who often turned a blind eye to the mountains of missing KitKats and Reese’s Cups from her infamous candy basket.

In addition to her beloved husband, children, and grandchildren, Brandy is survived by her parents, Lorraine Roden and James Wallace, who instilled the unparalleled kindness, generosity, and courage that she exhibited in every stage of life.

Alongside her parents, Brandy is survived by her sisters, Jennison Macias, Michelle Leahy, and Stephanie Wallace, who regarded her as a role model and confidante. While not her blood, she loved her siblings Donna, David, and Jodi, as well as Jodi’s husband, Kevin, as if they were so.
Lastly, she is survived by countless aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. The list of people she has loved and was loved by in her short life could never be completed, as it was truly what she did best.

She was a schoolteacher by profession, instructing classes most recently at McKinley Middle School in Saint Albans, West Virginia, where she loved her students as though they were her own. Brandy was a passionate and spirited woman. She loved the beach, or rather collecting as many sea shells as she could hold, and spent her last days doing as such. While she leaves behind a large community in West Virginia, which she would refer to as her second home, Texas always had her heart. She was finally reunited in her passing to the place she lovingly called home.

She is preceded in death by her beloved Father-in-Law, David Escue, her stepfather, Richard Roden, her Aunts, Gloria and Dolores, her godfather, Alfred, and her silky terriers, Max and Carlos.

Visitation will be held at 1:30 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. with a Funeral Service held at 2:00 on July 5, 2024, all at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home in Rockport, TX.
