In Loving Memory of Beatrice (Bebe) Otero
April 4, 1966 – January 18, 2025
The passing of our beloved Beatrice Otero, lovingly known as Bebe. She was born on April 4, 1966, in Sinton, Texas, and raised in Aransas Pass, Texas, where she graduated and made her lifelong home. She was 58 years old when she passed peacefully in her home on Saturday, January 18, 2025.
Bebe was a devoted mother, sister, daughter, aunt, and friend. Her unwavering love, nurturing spirit, and boundless generosity left an indelible mark on the lives of everyone she met. Bebe’s kindness and compassion knew no bounds, and her warm heart and bright smile were a source of light for all who knew her. As a mother, she cherished and adored her children above all else. Her love for Liliana and Jesse Marcus Villarreal, her pride and joy, was immeasurable. In addition to her children, Bebe lovingly raised her stepdaughters Sarah Montoya (Julio) and Leah Cooper (Jeff).
She was the fourth oldest out of five children, born to Norma Otero and Cirildo Otero (deceased). Bebe was preceded in death by her father, Cirildo M. Otero; her grandmother, Beatrice M. Otero; her brother, Cirildo Otero Jr.; and her two baby girls, Jessica and Annacherie Otero Villarreal, as well as her niece, Kimberly Davila.
Bebe is survived by her devoted mother, Norma Otero; Jesse Villarreal, the father of her children; her children, Jesse Marcus and Liliana Villarreal; her stepdaughters, Sarah Montoya (Julio) and Leah Cooper (Jeff); and her siblings, Isabel Otero, Cirildo Otero, Vera Carlos, and Johnny Otero. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family who will forever remember her with love.
A woman of boundless love and warmth, she was known for her nurturing spirit, always taking on the role of "family babysitter" for her siblings, nephews, and nieces, and offering care and comfort to all who knew her.
Her love for animals was unmatched, having shared her home with many cats and dogs over the years, each one a cherished part of her family. Her joy in the simple pleasures of life was evident in her love for thrifting—spending countless hours exploring secondhand shops—and in her fondness for watching her favorite movie, The Little Mermaid, which she would watch on repeat.
In her younger years, Bebe enjoyed dancing and listening to music, a passion that brought her great joy and an outlet for her free-spirited nature. As a stay-at-home mom, she dedicated herself fully to her family, always putting others first.
As a woman of many passions, Bebe found joy in the small moments of life. She was often found in front of the mirror, taking great care and delight in doing her makeup, a ritual that gave her confidence and made her feel her best. Her attention to detail and love for beauty extended beyond her appearance.
One of her greatest delights was enjoying a trip to the Chinese buffet, where she could savor her favorite foods and share moments with those she loved.
Her caring heart, playful spirit, and devotion to her family will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories.
Though she is no longer with us, her love, her spirit, and her legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. We find comfort in the words of Scripture:
"The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." – Psalm 34:18
