Barbara Ann Demaree.63, entered eternal life on Tuesday, November 14, 2017. She quietly passed away at Spohn Shoreline Hospital in Corpus Christi, Texas with her family at her side, after her long, courageous, strong fight against heart disease at the young age of 63. Born on August 21, 1954 in Corpus Christi, Texas, she is predeceased by her parents Lewis White Sr. and Oma Elizabeth White, and her brother Lewis (Tubba) White Jr.
Barbara loved life. Whether she was patiently waiting for a deer to cross her sights, hanging out with her children and grandchildren, shopping with her sister, snagging one of those giant fish only she could catch when no one else was even getting a bite, or simply sitting with her Daisy next to her playing solitaire on her tablet, she considered herself blessed. Barbara had great faith in her Heavenly Father, and no matter what may have be troubling her at the time, she always had faith and knew that He held her closely to Him. She loved God dearly and was a member of Fulton Community Church.
To Barbara her greatest accomplishment was giving birth to and raising her two sons, Michael Dean Shipp and Brian Jefferson Stephens, whom she took great pride in. Barbara worked the hardest she could to make certain her boys were taken care of. Having worked for Fulton Beach Restaurant, The Back 40 Restaurant, MaMaw's Burgers and providing security at many an oil rig sites, Barbara always did it with class and to the best of her ability. She treated everyone she met with her kind, gentle ways, always treating others as she would want to be treated. Barbara never thought of herself. She always put the needs of others first. She was so many wonderful things to so many people. Not only was she a devoted and affectionate mom, she was also a loving sister, a nurturing Nana, a compassionate Aunt, a fun-loving cousin, an understanding Mother-in-law, and a thoughtful neighbor. Barbara found pleasure in the simple things in life, like baking cookies for her grandkids, fixing her family their favorite meal, sitting on the bank of the Guadalupe River waiting for those fish to bite, and simply being with those she loved.
Barbara is survived by her husband, Charles Demaree of Bald Knob, Arkansas whom she married on June 10, 1992, her sister Brenda Hoffman of Rockport, her two sons, SSG/E-6 USA Retired Michael Dean (Pam) Shipp and Brian Jefferson (Erica) Stephens of Rockport, Texas, her twin brother Bobby Joe (Sharon) White of Aransas Pass, Texas her brother Harold (Patsy) Wayne White of Rockport, Texas, 8 grandchildren, 9 nieces, 7 nephews, and her beloved pups Daisy and Lucy.
