Archie A. Matthews

After a long hard fight with COPD Archie went to see our Lord on January 4, 2024. The love of his life for 33 years Janet Pursley was by his side day and night. He lived in Fulton, Tx until Harvey forced a move to Ingleside. Prior to moving to Fulton Archie had a small engine repair shop in Irving for many years. He was a hard worker, jack of all trades and opened the Gulf Breeze resale and gift shop in Rockport from 1993 - 1998, then dabbled in real estate. Archie possessed a very unique quality, he never got angry, always had a big smile for everyone, loved life, loved people, cherished his many friends and family, and had a great sense of humor; everyone who met him loved him. His young male friends use to say he was a man's man and he truly was. He loved music and use to serenade everyone with his favorite Willie Nelson and Waylon Jennings tunes. He will be truly missed by many. There is no more pain and suffering his spirit is in heaven with the Lord and he is up there singing with his old friends and family.
