April Ann Irwin Kline, born on April 19, 1958, in Houston, Texas, passed away on August 17, 2024. Her life was a testament to unwavering dedication and boundless love for her family and friends. As a cherished daughter of the late Ann and Don Irwin, April was raised in Midland, Texas. She pursued her passion for education at Corpus Christi State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree. For nearly 30 years, April taught with passion and commitment at Taft ISD and Rockport-Fulton ISD, shaping young minds and inspiring countless students. 

 On August 29, 1987, April married the love of her life, Russell "Rusty" Kline. Their life together in Rockport was filled with joy and many treasured memories. April is preceded in death by her beloved parents, her brother-in-law Thomas "TL" Matlock, Sr., and her mother-in-law Gloria Kline. 

She is survived by her devoted husband, Russell Kline of Rockport; her stepson Zachary (Jennifer) Kline; and her two beloved grandchildren, Trevor and Emilie Kline, all of Rockport. April is also survived by her sister Diann (Kyle) Smith of Pasadena, TX; her brothers Barry Irwin of Ingleside and Kevin Irwin of Sargent, TX; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Herbert “Shorty” and Sharlene Kline; her sisters-in-law Sue Waugh, Valerie (Jerry) McLead, and Lisa Wilson, all of Rockport; and her brother-in-law John Sintay of Weatherford,OK, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. 

 April was known for her tireless efforts in preparing math lessons and nurturing her students' growth. Her kindness and dedication left a lasting impact on all who knew her. Outside the classroom, April had a deep affection for her cats, reflecting her gentle spirit and compassion. 

 A celebration of April’s life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Humane Society and Adoption Center of Rockport in her memory. 

 April will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for her unwavering commitment to education, her love for her family, and her gentle spirit.
