Antonia Martinez

Antonia "Toni" Martinez passed away peacefully in her sleep on Thursday, June 21st at the age of 80. Toni was born on October 20, 1937 to Pilar Herrera Sr. and Javiera Cook Herrera.

Toni was known as "Mrs. Mac" the wife of Mac Martinez, founder of Mac's Barbecue in Gregory, Texas. Toni was the matriarch of the
Martinez family, working side by side with her husband, making Mac's Barbecue a truly successful business.

Toni was preceded in death by her parents, husband and siblings, Oralia, Amalia, Mary, Pilar Jr., and David.

Toni is survived by her five children; James (Sylvia), Judi (Pedro), Jerry, Janet and Joe; fifteen grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 26, 2018, with a Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home in Aransas Pass, TX.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Portland, TX.

Christian burial will follow at Prairie View Cemetery.
