Anton Brown

Anton Blaine “Gabby” Brown passed away July 16th at the age of 72. He is survived by his only son Andrew R. Brown of Rockport, TX and former spouse Anna Whipkey of Rockport, TX. He was also stepfather to Derek J. Brown (deceased) of Corpus Christi, TX. He is also survived by his brothers Tommy and Wilbur Brown and sister Barbara Brown of Alice, TX.

Anton was a Vietnam veteran. He was a truck driver for 35 years serving the same company under different names Laidlaw, BFI, and Waste Management. He loved being a father to his boys and taught them to hunt and fish.

Anton was a well known local in the fishing community, and was a licensed captain who led guided fishing trips in the local waters for 20 years.

He will be remembered for his talkative personality and always ready with a joke. His ashes will be spread in his favorite fishing hole as per his request.
