Anne Virginia Ternus Gansle, 74, of Denton, TX, passed away on January 16, 2017, after a lengthy battle with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.

Virginia was born on October 31, 1942 in Corpus Christi and grew up in Sinton, TX. She earned her Registered Nursing degree and was married to Gerald Matthias Gansle on December 27, 1965 until his death eighteen years later. She worked all her life in the nursing field, in roles ranging from private practice to insurance. She worked at Care Regional Medical Center in Aransas Pass for over 15 years. Virginia was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Louise; her husband, Gerald; and her son, Charles.

Virginia is survived by siblings; Martha, Joe, Tom, Mary, and Dan; by her children, Brian, Anthony, Mark, Greta, and Michelle; by grandchildren, Anthony, Gabrielle, Gillian, Grant, Joshua, Jacob and Sylvia, and by numerous other family and friends who will miss her dearly.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the American Lung Association. The family of Anne Virginia Ternus Gansle wishes to thank Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church, St. Mark Catholic Church in Denton, and the Knights of Columbus for their unfailing support and prayers.

Visitation will be held Thursday, January 19, 2017 from 12:00 pm until 9:00 pm and the Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home in Aransas Pass, Texas. Mass will be Friday, January 20, 2017 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church in Ingleside, Texas. Burial will be at 1:00 pm at Seaside Memorial Cemetery in Corpus Christi, Texas.
