Alfred “Bo” Jerome Court Jr., 71, of Rockport, TX, peacefully passed away on August 20, 2024. Bo’s life was a testament to unwavering faith and profound dedication, deeply rooted in his devout Catholic beliefs. His commitment to the teachings of the Church was reflected in every aspect of his life, guiding him in his relationships and daily actions.
Bo’s boundless generosity and compassion were defining features of his character. He was a familiar face at Castaways Thrift Shop, where he could often be found volunteering his time, brightening up the aisles of HEB with his smiling face as he shopped several times a week or, searching for treasures around town. His enthusiasm for these “treasures” was often shared with family and friends, reflecting his joy in bestowing these “special” items upon them.
Bo is survived by his devoted family, including his siblings Sharron (Bob) Loflin, Jody Fox, and Wayne Court; his nephew Jeffrey Fox; and his nieces Lisa (Jason) Gordon, Julia (Justin) Siltmann, Phyllis (Brian) Patek, Jennifer (Ryan) Fox, and JoAnn Fox. He also leaves behind numerous great-nieces and great-nephews, as well as an extended family who cherished his presence and will forever remember his kindness and generosity. Bo’s legacy of faith, service, and love will continue to inspire and uplift all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 26, 2024, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home, with a Rosary service beginning at 7:00 p.m. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at 10:00 a.m., with interment to follow at Rockport Cemetery. A reception to honor Bo’s life and share cherished memories will take place afterward at 250 Inverrary Drive, Rockport TX 78382.
