Wayne Nugent

Wayne was born on December 8, 1948 to Beverly Yvonne (Kirkland) Nugent and Albert Reed Nugent in Longview TX. He graduated from LD Bell high school in Hurst and then went on to attend Texas A&M University, class of ‘70.

After graduating with a degree in Business he joined the Army, where he served 4 years as a Second Lieutenant. His professional history included coaching, teaching, and proprietor of The Habitat in Lamar.

Wayne went on to have 3 children; Celicia “CC” Nugent, Dylan Nugent, and Jordan Nugent. He retired and spent his time fishing, hunting, and impacting others.

Wayne was predeceased by Albert “Bud” Nugent. He is survived by Beverly Nugent, Celicia “CC” Nugent, Dylan Nugent, Jordan Nugent, Preston Nugent, Indy Nugent, Beckham Nugent, Gayle Olds, Byke Nugent, nieces & nephews as well as extended family.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Humane Society and Adoption center of Rockport/Fulton, an organization Wayne felt strongly about.
