Eva Mccarty

Our precious mother, Eva I. McCarty, 79, went to be with the Lord on May 28, 2019. She succumbed to congestive heart failure and COPD which she battled for the last eight years of her life. Our precious mother is no longer struggling and is at peace. Eva was born on December 6, 1939 in Durango, Mexico.

Eva is preceded in death by her loving husband of thirty-eight years, Dale McCarty.

Left to cherish her memories are her sons, Jesse Contreras of Springdale, Arkansas, Michael McCarty (Susana) of Chicago, Illinois; daughter, Kim McCarty Thieme (Walter Harry Thieme III) of Corpus Christi, Texas; two brothers; two sisters; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild and many dear friends.

Our precious mother Eva worked hard her entire life constantly putting others needs before her own. She was a selfless woman who loved her family, her entire life revolved around her children. As she looks down on us from heaven, we know in our hearts that we have a guardian angel. Although her final years were a constant battle, she never complained and fought courageously with all of her might. She was a very strong, yet gentle woman with the kindest heart that blossomed like the roses in her garden. Although she is gone, we can sit and enjoy the scent of her yellow roses which will be a constant reminder of her presence in the garden.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, June 7, 2019  at Holy Family Catholic Church in Taft, Texas.
